Automatically create Date and Time named folders for your backups
Automatically create folders with date and time stamps for each back up. (eg. 2007-09-12 19.00). This feature makes it easy to find backups by using the time and date they were created.
Data Compression for Backed up data.
Flash Drive Backup has the option to compress your files and folders on the fly to the backup USB device. This will save space on your USB drive.
Smart Back Up – Replacing only modified files
This feature can check for newly modified files and folders and only backup the latest items and changes.
Re-write Files and Folders
This feature overwrites all of the old versions of your files and folders to the latest versions – saving space on your usb drive for other data.
Checking allocated space on USB Drive
Flash Drive BackUp checks your USB device for allocated backup space and warns if you don’t have the required space on the drive to complete your data backup.
Automatically create and name folders on the USB drive
You don’t need to create folders on your USB drive, our software will do that for you. In fact you can even ask the software to create more than one folder for you and back up different items to differently named folders without the pen drive even been plugged in. The next time you use your USB pen drive the folders will automatically be made and your backups will begin.
Create different user profiles for each user and each USB Flash drive.
If the software is running on a PC at home or in the office which has several different users, each user can set up a profile with different back up items and the software will only backup the files and folders which are of importance to that user.
Backup only to selected USB devices
With this feature you can choose the name of the usb device to backup to. For example if you only want to back up to a device called BackupUSB, the software will recognise the name of the device and only back up when this USB Device is inserted. This feature also has smart switching, so if you have a USB device called DadsUSB for example it will automatically switch to Dads Profile on inserting his USB.
Stealth Mode – For silent backups
Stealth mode can be used for silent backups – only switch to stealth mode and the computer tray icon will disappear. You can now access the control board by pressing CTRL-F12. Its absolutely silent, no popups icons or sounds in stealth mode. This is useful for silent every day backups in office complexes or if you do not want your staff to interfere with the settings in the Flash Drive Backup control panel. Please remark that our licensing agreement states that you have to be the legal owner of the computer/s before using the stealth mode. Copying other peoples files is strictly in opposition to the law.
